Association
Friday 7th March 2008.

Present;
Veterans In Need; Vince Campbell
SVGCA; Capt. Stephen Kennedy, Capt. Bruce Osborne.
For some time now, both Veterans In Need and the Scottish Veterans Garden City Association (soon to be renamed Houses for Heroes) have been working closely to raise the quality of life for our Veterans.
The purpose of this meeting was to have a reasonable and constructive discussion to ensure both parties could present various avenues of exploration and analysis to the betterment of our Veterans and their Families.
Captain Kennedy apologised profusley for the comment he made that was published in the Scottish Sun and has pledged to take a further step by offering an apology regarding this mis-communication on a public platform in the near future. The fact that Veterans In Need were instrumental in initiating the current investment in our Veterans houses was acknowledged, again by Captain Kennedy and that in turn, this would also be relayed to the public in the very near future.
Further significant points were raised by both parties and agreements, through logical intelligent compromise was made on all fronts.
Veterans In Need look forward to working closer with the Scottish Veterans Garden City Association (Houses for Heroes) as and when it is warranted, and also look forward to Captain Kennedy's press release which will award Veterans In Need the recognition they are due in the current climate.
Veterans In Need are most definately not an 'anti-government' group, and it is to this end that we enjoy working 'with' government, as opposed to 'at' government. For the sake of integrity and decency, we must in turn identify to ourselves, that both Mr Stewart Hosie MP, Dundee East and his aide Mr Craig Melville of the Dundee Scottish National Party Group were instrumental in assisting Veterans In Need in resolving this particular quest for several years.

Historic analogies that any society can and should be judged on its sense of fair play, in the light of governmental transparent lack of integrity and clarity, has never been more relevant than it is today. Read the Veterans Template.

Many good, solid, strong men and women who cannot be bullied, badgered, bought or blackmailed have gone out on a limb to ensure that Veterans have been awarded the assistance. We post our thanks in the Hall Of Fame.
Our Hall Of Shame will not turn into a turkey shoot, however shaming our politicians and others alike may just be the tonic required to gain a promotion to the Hall of Fame!
Priority Healthcare For Veterans, is it?.
