Veterans
Grant that you be made fierce against all enemies with compassion
That you bond in the fashion peculiar to the warrior of your times
And that in your cause, death should meet you before dishonour.
In the aftermath of the unique fashion in which you have served
your people, strike, seize and grasp your deserved peace of mind in
the sure and certain knowledge of the integrity that you employed
whilst serving this noble art.
The further sure and certain knowledge that when the government
of the day abused your integrity and then abandoned you and yours
when most you needed them, that the retribution of the Almighty is
theirs to endure alone and that you shall know eternal peace.
